“The best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother!”

Many years ago, I saw a poster in the waiting room of my pediatrician’s office.
It said: “The best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother!”
What a profound statement, it stayed with me to this day!
Over the years I had the privilege of counseling many young couples with children. When the father was actively involved with taking care of the children, he seemed to appreciate his wife more. He could relate to the day to day struggles that come with raising children. Working as a team to keep the family harmonious, healthy and happy, kept the couples commitment and relationship to each other strong too! As the father in the family steps up to the plate and often sacrificing and giving his all, the family flourishes on many different levels.
Mutual love, respect and hard work is the key to a thriving family. Our children deserve our very best effort and dedication!

About parentingwithconfidence

I am a mother of three wonderful adult children and a grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren! I have worked in the Early Childhood field for many years and was involved in educating children. Giving counsel to parents and grandparents was an important aspect of my work, which gave me lots of insight into the day to day problems and questions that arise with raising children. Many parents were lacking the confidence to be parents to their children and often needed a little encouragement and advise which I was able to give them.
